Portage is our western reach. Aurora and Kent are about a 45-minute drive west of Warren on Route 5. We don't hit Portage as densely as Trumbull or Mahoning, but when you call, we come. The newer subdivisions around Aurora, Streetsboro, and the Kent State corridor keep us busy enough to put a truck west most days.
Aurora, Streetsboro, Ravenna, and Kent are our regular Portage stops. The southern reach — Atwater, Deerfield, Palmyra — is same-day but plan on a window rather than a tight ETA. Commercial accounts get priority scheduling either way.
Portage skews newer than Trumbull or Mahoning. Aurora and Streetsboro grew through the 80s and 90s, so high-efficiency forced-air with central AC is the norm. Kent has a mix — student-rental triplexes with original boilers, faculty homes with mid-grade furnaces, and post-2000 builds with heat pumps showing up more every year. We see fewer steam systems here than in Trumbull, and more ductless mini-splits in additions and converted attics near campus.
